Tutorial Thursday: The White House, Dog House

The White House
A dog bed is so 2013. Your faithful dog deserves a home. But one which you yourself enjoy watching. A house in 7 steps.

Items Required

* 32x screws, 4 × 60 mm
* White paint

For the frame

7 m spruce laths of 40 × 40 mm
Of these, let the following slats saw:
4x 65 cm (for the vertical slats)
4x 19.5 inch (for sloping roof battens)
3x 77 cm (between the horizontal beams)

For the side beams around the base plate
* Spruce slats 30 × 195 mm
2x 77 cm (for the sides)
1x 62 cm (for the back)
For the bottom plate
* Multiplex, 18 mm thick
1x 700 × 850 mm


* Wood Glue

* Saw

* Cordless Screwdriver or hand screwdriver

* Brush / roller

* Tape / Tape Measure

Wire on wooden spool and white masking tape with black text. White masking tape. Toolbox, white painted Other (private property).

Step 1
Start with the miter saw from the roof frame. The roof battens in the tip must be cut at 45 degrees, the transition from the roof to the legs at 22.5 degrees. Now glue the roof and underneath the legs with wood glue together. Allow to dry.
Step 2
Position the bottom rail between the rear frame of the loft. Screw him.
Step 3
Saw from all corners of the base plate a small corner. Out of the two front corners at an angle of 5 × 40 mm, from the 2 back at an angle of 5 × 5 mm. Download drawing of the bottom plate. Note: This drawing is not to scale, but an indication of the bottom plate of the doghouse.

Step 4
Mount the sidebars to the base with wood glue and screws.

Step 5
Insert the 2 cabin frames with screws on the front and back of the bottom plate. This fall exactly between the notches you cut in step 5.

Step 6
