Crafty Tuesday: Homemade Envelopes

I decided to make the envelopes for just a quick little note to family or friend.  So Here is a cute way to make a simple A4 envelopes (4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″). When making this if you feel a bit crazy go big and make some in a various colors and prints.

Here are some instructions in case you’re feeling crazy to try your hand ad making some.
1. Buy a giant pad of scrapbook paper. Size of sheets are 12x12 ( You can find this at your local craft store, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Joann's, Walmart and/or Target
2. Make a template from a store bought envelope and trace. I used an x-acto knife instead of scissors and cut three sheets at a time.
3. Cut out a 4 1/4″ x 6 1/4″ sturdy piece of cardboard (I used the lid of a J.Crew box) to use as the template for symmetrical and straight edges.
4. Use a ruler to fold up the sides. Press along the seams for a crisp edge.
5. Add double stick tape to the sides. (*if you wish to use Glue use the Clear Stick Glue so it does not leave any bubbles or marks*)
6. Fold up the rest of the way and double check to make sure it’s symmetrical.
